New High-speed VF Implement Tire from Alliance Tire Americas

As of Jan 1, 2021, Alliance Tire Group and Alliance Tire Americas, Inc. changed their names to Yokohama Off-Highway Tires and Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America, Inc respectively. The Alliance, Galaxy and Primex brands and product names remain unchanged. Product information is available at www.yokohama-oht.com.

The Alliance Agriflex+ 881—a new, all-steel VF (very high-flexion) radial tire for today's heaviest towed agricultural implements, rated for road speeds up to 40 mph—broadens the line of high-performance VF tires from Alliance Tire America. The Agriflex+ product line uses extremely flexible sidewall technology to improve the load-carrying capacity and reduce soil compaction. The VF tires designated as Alliance Agriflex+ radials can carry as much of a load as a conventional radial tire at 40 percent less inflation pressure, reducing soil compaction force by about 40 percent.

Accompanying many of those tires is our sales team, helping dealers and customers alike to set up their equipment and maximize their return on Alliance tires.

Olivier Hubrecht: Our Ironman

What to Look for in a Good Farm Tire

What Makes an Ag Tire Excellent?

The life of an ag tire is demanding. Farm equipment is getting bigger, more powerful, and faster—tasking tires with carrying huge loads, transferring massive amounts of horsepower, and traveling at high speeds. Additionally, today’s farm equipment spends an increasing amount of time on harsh, heat-inducing roads (heat is the number one enemy of tires) and must contend with tough stalks left behind by modern, super-resilient crops.

Given the numerous challenges facing farm tires, the question raised is: what makes a good ag tire?

What’s the Difference Between G, L, and E Rated Tires?

Grader, Loader, and Earth Mover Tires

Today’s construction sites are home to a wide array of specialized machinery, with each piece of equipment designed to handle the unique challenges facing it. Similarly, the tires for specialized construction equipment are also engineered to stand up to the distinct demands placed on them—after all, a dump truck carrying heavy loads at high speeds has different needs than a grader traveling at slow speeds.
