• John Deere is introducing their GoFell mobile application for feller buncher customers, designed to assist operators with understanding machine controls, settings and diagnostics in order to get the most out of their machines. 

• Another mobile application comes from Trimble; its 4Loads forestry application is a ticketing solution that simplifies the creation, access and sharing of harvested timber data for loggers, foresters and haulers. 

• Some good news from sciencedaily.com -- Western U.S. forests killed by the mountain pine beetle epidemic are no more at risk to burn than healthy Western forests, according to new findings by the University of Colorado Boulder

• Associated Oregon Loggers share an insightful post on how much logging and forest management techniques have changed in that state in the past 20 years.
