Raising Money with Primex LogMonsters
A pair of Primex LogMonster skidder tires (rugged 26 ply 30.5-32) brought $2,750 and $2,800 in bids from loggers Rodney Schwab and Jerry Gray at the recent Southeastern Wood Producers Association annual meeting in St. Augustine, Florida, ringing up a generous donation to Log A Load for Kids.
It’s a privilege to be able to donate a pair of tires to such a great cause, supporting Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across the U.S. and Canada on behalf of the logging and forestry industry. We’re also blessed to be able to support some of the best people in the world—loggers, farmers, construction workers and others, who keep us fed, clothed, under a roof, in close communication and supplied with life’s necessities.
That’s a responsibility we take very seriously. It’s why we’re constantly developing new tires that help our customers operate more effectively, more safely and more efficiently. Tires like our Alliance 343 (pictured to the left), Alliance 344 and Alliance 346 designs, modified to handle the massive dynamic forces and side-to-side motion faced by CTL harvesters. And tires like those great 26-ply Primex LogMonsters, which have become a classic skidder tire. Read this earlier Hub story on how our flotation tires are helping loggers keep a light touch in the woods.
We have more than 3,000 employees around the world, and we support countless others with the tires we produce. Thinking about all those people is a great reminder that what we do is about more than just producing and selling great tires. It’s about supporting the people who rely on them.
And sometimes, as Log A Load for Kids reminds us, some of those people are children who need a hand. We’re proud to be able to help.
