Whether you're a tree-hugger, hiker, forester, logger, or just a regular person, trees play an important role in the lives of everyone. Whether they are offering shade from the sun, filling our lungs with clean air to breathe, providing building materials for our homes, or delivering us delicious and healthy fruit to eat, trees are subtly involved in people's daily lives. Occurring annually on the final Friday of April, [Arbor Day](https://www.arborday.org/) presents an opportunity to recognize the vital role that trees play in our daily lives while also giving an opportunity to foster the impact they have by planting a new tree. Sales of the [Nuhn Industries](http://www.nuhn.ca/) huge 15000 Quad Train manure spreader jumped once the company began outfitting it with more durable radial tires—[35.5R32 Alliance 393](http://www.atgtire.com/ShowAllianceDesignDetails.aspx?id=1287) flotation radials. The boost to Nuhn tanker sales coinciding with the introduction of the new, large, high-performance tires suggests that tires can play a key role in farm machinery innovation.

# Tires for Wet and Muddy Fields
Spring can be a trying time for farmers as they balance the urgency to get into the field with the need to wait until the field is actually ready to handle equipment. While the urge to get to the chores of tilling, spreading, spraying, and planting are strong, patience this time of year is preached, as farmers are liable to do more harm than good by getting into the field too soon. However, patience can be difficult in practice as the clock ticks away and farmers have to get their fields prepared and producing. To make matters worse, delays in the spring can negatively impact yields come harvest time.

The moose, bears, and other wildlife in Yellowstone National Park will see interesting new tracks in the snow this winter tourist season: the imprints of high-flotation tires. For the past 60 years, all winter vehicles in this famous U.S. landmark have run on rubber tracks. But this winter, Randy Roberson, owner of [Buffalo Bus Touring Company](http://www.visitmt.com/listings/general/sightseeing-tour/buffalo-bus-touring-company.html) of West Yellowstone, Montana, will be putting Alliance low-pressure flotation tires to the test traversing the snows of the park.
