Sales from organic farms are up 72% from 2008 according to the results of the USDA’s 2014 Organic Survey. California farms led the nation with 2.2 billion dollars contributing to a nationwide total of 5.5 billion dollars worth of organic products sold in 2014. Organic farming doesn’t seem to be slowing down; according to the report, 5,300 organic producers (39%) are planning on expanding their organic production over the next five years and another 688 farms with no current organic production are in the process of transitioning into organic agriculture production. Restored tractor brings in big bucks at auction. A restored 1963 IHC 560 pulling tractor sold for $10,250 at a western Pennsylvania auction.
