With the release of its new [Alliance Agriflex+ 389 VF](http://atgtire.com/product-detail/?product=287&segment_id=3) flotation tire, the [Alliance Tire Group](http://atgtire.com/) has raised the bar again for high-performance flotation tires. The VF rating stands for “very high flexion,” a combination of cutting-edge design, construction, and materials that allows owners to choose either of two key benefits:
- The Alliance Agriflex+ 389 VF can carry the same load as a standard radial flotation tire with 30 percent lower inflation pressure—dramatically reducing soil compaction;
- The tire can also be inflated to the same pressure as a conventional radial flotation tire and carry 30 percent more load. 
**Complete Solution**
James Crouch, Marketing Specialist for Alliance Tire Americas, points out that the VF flotation tire helps farmers and manure applicators take a critical step toward reducing soil compaction.
“Until now, most of the industry’s focus has been on creating VF tires for tractors and combines—which is a great start at reducing damage from compaction—but Alliance has been working on also reducing damage to the soil from heavy implements behind the tractor,” Crouch notes. “We believe it’s important to provide our customers with solutions that address every machine that crosses the field so they’re not taking two steps forward and one step back. Ultimately, that’s how we’re going to help farmers achieve their full yield and profit potential.”
**Fast and Versatile**
The Alliance Agriflex+ 389 VF flotation tire is also rated for speeds of up to 40 mph. Its non-directional tread—ideal for wet conditions, when it allows for forward or reverse operation to get out of sticky situations—is optimized for traction and self-cleaning in the field and stability over the road.
Alliance has been a leader in flotation tire technology since its introduction of the world’s first radial flotation tire in 1990, and the launch of its high-speed flotation tires in the decades that followed, Crouch notes.

The Alliance Agriflex+ 389 VF flotation tire is available in sizes covering a range of heavy implements, including 560/60R22.5, 600/55R26.5, 650/55R26.5, 710/50R26.5 and 750/45R26.5.
