The Alliance Tire Group (ATG) booth at the massive World of Concrete Show represents a solid lineup of tires purpose-built for the construction industry. ATG will be using its trade show display to highlight the wide range of tread designs and specs that provide equipment owners with the ideal tire for the challenging environment of paving, building and demolition.
“The construction industry is a great place, especially in today’s economy, for contractors who are versatile and efficient,” says Bruce Besancon, Alliance Tire Americas’ Vice President of Marketing. “Our Galaxy brand includes the tools to boost versatility, performance and profitability for our customers. At World of Concrete, they’ll meet the Galaxy Multi-Purpose Construction (MPC) tire, which we designed as an all-around performer on graders, loaders and telehandlers—applications where stability is important, and so is keeping the equipment moving on any surface.
“The Giraffe XLW brings a new level of versatility to the telehandler market, recognizing that contractors are using telehandlers in a wide range of ways,” he adds. “The sidewall stability and huge footprint of the Giraffe XLW address the specific demands faced by telehandler tires, while the tire’s tread design works in both directions on any surface. It’s a tire that will take a telehandler operator anywhere he wants to go, and keep him productive all day long.”
• The Galaxy Hulk and Jumbo Hulk, which stand up to broken concrete and constant scrubbing on paved surfaces.
• The new Beefy Baby SDS, a solid tire for tough environments—and jobs where downtime is never an option.
• The Galaxy Trac Star ND, a medium-duty tire ideal for backhoes and skid steers in road construction or landscape work.
“The driving forces behind the Galaxy brand are versatility and low cost per hour,” says Besancon. “At World of Concrete, talking with contractors and fleet owners reinforces that those are also the key ingredients for success in the construction business. We’re here to show that tires are an important part of the equation.”
